The Reachd Blog is Moving

For sometime we’ve been running 2 blogs. This blog has been our video blog and the blog on our Ubertor site has been where we’ve posted tips, articles and other “stuff” Today, I am moving our blog to this wordpress blog, but I am faced with one problem.

All our subscribers on Feedburner are subscribing to our Ubertor Blog. If I move our blog here, will I lose all those readers?

I will solve that problem by changing our feedburner feed. I figured I might as well show you how to do it since, well we are in the business of training.

So..

Step 1 – Log into your feedburner account.

Step 2 – Click on the feed that you want to alter.

Step 3 – at the top of the screen click on edit feed details

Step 4 – Now Change the original feed details. In this case I will take our my Ubertor Blog address and add my WordPress feed. (http://blog.reachd.com/feed/)

Step 5 – Click save and that should do it. So now if you are subscribing to our Blog or SEO Tips they will be coming from WordPress and we should not even skip a beat. Keeping my fingers crossed.

If you have questions about feedburner and how it can help your blog, please let me know. Feedburner really helps get my blog indexed very quickly, so if you have a blog you should use feedburner.

SEO Tip: The Power of Internal Linking

It is important to give the search engine spiders several paths to the pages on your website. Besides the site navigation and the sitemap on everypage, you should add links to within the body text of your website to the most important pages on your site.

Here is an example of Internal linking: Reachd is working with Shan Gibson to teach a Search Engine & Sales Training Bootcamp. The bootcamp will be one day and include instruction on how to get people to your website and how to convert that traffic to leads and sales once they make it to your website.

I linked the words “Search Engine Sales Training” 2 Things to notice: (1) The link is included in the context of a sentence (2) The link uses keyword rich link text. It is not “click here” or “read more”

Internal linking can be a powerful way to increase your rankings. Find pages or blog posts that are related on your site and be sure and link those pages together. If you have questions or if we can assist you take a minute and respond to this post via email or vist our Contact page

Enjoy the Tip.
