Use Video To Promote “Hot” Local Topics

Above is a video about a Vancouver realtor who sent me a twitter message about some of the videos that he uploaded about the Onni Blow Out sale on their condos. He uploaded the videos on Jan 15 and on Jan 16th he has 3 top spots on Google for the keyword “onni liquidation sale” and one spot for “onni sale” This is an example of how video and social media can get you high ranks in google quickly. Kye, also told me that he did not “attempt to game the search engines just researched 5 video sites and uploaded the video.”
The key take away from this is to keep creating more and more and more content. Don’t stop pumping out the content – Google is content hungry!

Thanks Rodney! I think the key is to be quick on the ‘breaking news’. The earlier you create a video about a topic the higher the number of searches will be and the lower your competition will be.

In fairness to Will Wertheim, he was on top of it sooner with some great text blogging and was also rewarded by Google for doing so. For whatever reason it seems like video gets indexed quicker and ranks higher.

It will be interesting to watch the evolution of these videos ranking as Google positioning is pretty dynamic. I am curious to see if the videos have staying power to remain near the top longterm.

And of course none of this wouldn’t happened if it wasn’t for people like Ian Watt starting his Vlog a few years back and being committed to it which exposed the power of it, along with the encouragement and training of Ubertor and Reachd.

    Thanks guys,

    Kye Grace
